For those of you commenting on my blog, you should be aware that Blogger no longer sends me e-mails when you comment. I thought it was just a problem with my blog, but at least one other blogger has the same issue. I've complained to Blogger, but, so far, it hasn't made a difference. If any of you know how to get around this, please let me know.
I will check the last few blog posts to try to make sure I haven't missed any comments, but if I don't respond to your comments, Bad Blogger is why. I'm annoyed by bloggers who don't engage with their readers. It's rude and self-centered, a one-way conversation, and I'm never interested in that.
I have had the same problem, Joan, and it appears to be a decision that Blogger made (without informing us).
ReplyDeleteSo far, I have been experimenting with checking the "Notify me" check box so that I will get email notification.
Oh, I didn't think about checking the Notify Me box. I'll try that. Thanks for the suggestion.
DeleteIt’s not just on your end, Joan. Commenters are also having trouble leaving comments. I’m still not able to comment with the name and url. The only way I can seem to comment is if I go,through a link to your site from my old blogger blog. I am just so fed up with Google/Blogger😡. Sadly I’ve just ablout given up.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the info, Peggy. I didn't know that commenters were having problems, too. What's wrong with Google / Blogger?! Haven't they ever heard 'if it ain't broke, don't fix it'?! I hope they get it straightened out. I have complained to them about it.
