About Books and Animals and Everything Else
Oh Joan! I am so sorry!
I got your e-card. Thanks, Stefanie. I'm sure everyone who has pets knows what this is like. She was a very good cat.
I'm so sorry to hear this, Joan. It can be heartbreaking but we always know when our pets have had enough & at least we can let them go without pain.
Thanks, Lyn. I remember you went through this with Abby a few years ago. I actually looked up your old posts to reassure myself that we were doing the right thing. We miss her so much already.
So sorry Joan, at least Turtle had a good long life with two caring people.
It was all so sudden. A few days ago, I thought I recognized signs of fluid in her chest based on our experiences with her three siblings. Impaired breathing is never a good thing. I hope we didn't react too quickly, but we didn't want her to suffer. It's a decision you can't take back.
My condolences on your loss and I bet Turtle is now enjoying herself at the rainbow bridge.
Thank you. I don't believe in life after death, but I thought about the Rainbow Bridge yesterday and wanted to believe. It is comforting to think that they'll all be waiting for us.
I am so sorry to hear this--what a beautiful cat! I sympathize--I have had to go through the same thing and it does break your heart.
Thank you, Danielle. She was a sweetheart, never any trouble, always healthy, unlike her three siblings. It would have been easier if she had appeared sicker, but we let her go to spare her all that.
